A new day to make impactful change

Hello Blue Water Indivisible Friends,

Did you know that we now have 1,300+ members across St. Clair County?

Given that -- and the distance from one end of the county to the other -- we know it would be a lot for many of you to travel to our monthly meetings, attend pop-up protests at locations in Port Huron, Lexington or Algonac and still also make it to the meet and greets at Panera Bread in Fort Gratiot or Casey’s in Port Huron. Resistance asks a lot of us. As a result, we understand many of you may not know of all the work we do and our need to raise funds to do it.

Currently, we are requesting donations from those of you who can to pay for things such as hall rentals for cookoff fundraisers, meet-the-candidate events, signs and banners for events, charges for electricity and shelters in larger parks, as well as the liability insurance that is required by many venues.

We also have a need for equipment that will allow us to reach more of your remotely such as a camera and microphone that would better enable us to Zoom meetings.

And, for those of you who haven’t heard, we are getting ready to host the No Kings event on March 28th for which we will incur many expenses.

We now have three methods by which to get donations to BWI. The first, through Act Blue, hosted by Indivisible national and your entire donation comes to us through the trusted source (they get no commission). You can access that site via our website bluewaterindivisible.com -- and go to the donate page by clicking the button in the upper right corner. Alternatively, you can mail a check to Blue Water Indivisible, PO Box 610076, Port Huron, MI 48061. And of course, we accept drop-off donations at any of our major events.

Port Huron Pop Up

We have been in continuous presence at Pine Grove and Sanborn, 11-1 pm, since mid-October 2025. Our largest gathering was 50, and our smallest 1 on the coldest day. We have a solid group of 15 to 20 every Saturday. Our signs react to the latest unconstitutional acts of

Trump and his administration. Public response is 20 to 1 in support of our protest.

Algonac Pop Up

Spontaneously, a group in Algonac started to march, 1-2 pm, Saturdays, from City Hall to CBP

(Customs & Border Patrol) dock. We support them on Facebook and any way we can. The

leader live streams the march with narrative and video of the protesters.

Sanilac County Pop Up

A group of residents around Lexington, MI held their first Pop Up at the light, in Lexington, on

Saturday from 12-1. They plan to demonstrate every other week. 15 showed up at the first

protest. We support them on Facebook and however we can help.

1. Civics a non-partisan non-profit

"Run for Something Civics" is a non-partisan non-profit (501c3) promotes youth leadership and encourages young people from diverse backgrounds to run for elected office at all levels in order to create a more reflective democracy. Their website talks about the importance of running, what seats are open for reelection in your area (if you sign up), expectations of each position, and more.

2. GLPA

Over the years, GLPA has trained more than 350 fellows through its intensive and highly regarded programs. Our mission is to empower rising campaign leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in competitive political environments. Trainings are geared towards both candidates and campaign staff, and offer multiple in each.
